Meet the Families

Mom is a pre-school teacher for kids experiencing homelessness who tirelessly helps others and often puts her needs last. FwL volunteers put Mom’s needs first for a change in a recent family project.

 

Given the happy squeals and tears at the Welcome Home reveal, the plan worked! We hope that coming home to a welcoming, soothing space is a respite for this busy Mom of five kids and a grandson. She has had a long journey to a stable living situation. Family photos on the walls, a kitchen table large enough for the whole gang, and a cozy reading nook in Mom’s room are just a few of the special touches. It’s a space designed to give the whole family a sense of well-being.
