A mother and toddler starting over in an empty apartment after fleeing an abusive relationship. That is an all too familiar story, and one we love to change from a bleak to a bright beginning! This Mom has met her life’s challenges head on and is ready for new adventures. With the help of Furnish with Love volunteers, Mom and son now have a space that meets their basic needs and fulfills their deep desire for safe and cozy surroundings.

After the project, Mom said, "I want to thank you all so much again. You all did an amazing job. Me and my son slept so peacefully in our home and I am still in shock." We’re glad it’s a happy kind of surprise.
