Generous Heart
This was one of the largest homes we’ve ever furnished — and one of the most inspiring. The mom of this family impressed us all with her dynamic personality, big dreams, and generous heart. After losing their home and everything in storage, this family of seven turned to Nicholas House for help. With their support, Mom found a rental to serve as a stable home for her three younger children — and a welcoming place for those in college to return to.
Project sponsor and volunteer designer Krisztina Bell and her team at No Vacancy Home Staging immediately picked up on this family’s “vibes and vision” and went to work. Now their home is warm, functional, and full of love with a large dining table for family meals, bright rooms for each teenager, and soothing spaces for Mom.
Mom’s gratitude was overflowing, and her happiness was contagious. As the family shared, they couldn’t believe volunteers would “pull off such a kind, selfless, and caring act for complete strangers.”
